Colton is 7

We had a small family celebration on Colton's Birthday with cake, ice cream and presents from his wonderful grandparents! And oh, boy was Colton excited!!! Even Ashlyn was excited to open presents but she just wanted to play with the paper.
Like I said Colton was excited because with just a little shake of his presents he knew LEGOS were inside and that is certainly his favorite things to play with these days!
It took Sarah a little while to be able to smile about the festivities because she wanted it to be her birthday. She has a few months to wait but she is already working on that wish list.
Colton spent the rest of the night building and building and building! Our floor was covered in LEGOS!

Oh how quickly time passes. I can't believe that Colton is 7 and growing up so much. He is grow tons this past year, developed into our big boy and matured into a great helper around the house. What a rewarding experience to watch your child grow!

Soccer Fall Season

What a season!!
It was Sarah's first season to play soccer and it was a roller coaster experience.
She truly is our little Diva!! Sarah loved that she was on the pink team and thanks to Uncle Brandon she had the best PINK cleats on the team. And you can see she was admiring her cute attire.
Oh, a little Diva can't be hot so she was cooling off with water!
If the game wasn't going Sarah's way she showed that she was not happy. But then her next turn on the field she would run after the ball and volunteer to throw it in. So like I said it was a roller coaster ride with Sarah this season but she learned a lot and has the makings of a good player.
Colton was a very strong player on his team this year and showed off his good foot skills when he could. He played so hard every game and we are so proud of the player he is becoming.
Soccer still remains to be Colton's favorite sport.

What is Fall without Pumpkins

With all the parties the pumpkin carving happened on Sunday morning but what a better time to do such a fun family activity! Everyone did a little and had a great time!
It is such great memories to do activities like carving pumpkins. Each kiddo got to choose what they wanted to carve on their pumkin. Sarah planned out a FUN JackO'lantern and Colton chose a Dragon which is very appropriate for our Ninja.
Can you believe that our Diva was willing to pull out the guts of the pumpkin? Her face was absolutely priceless!! And Colton wouldn't touch the stuff.
But Colton was a patience and experienced carver, even on his dragon, that is skill!!
HAPPY PUMPKIN CARVING!!
(Jay and I dress-up as ourselves for Halloween. Too busy for costumes this year.)

Party, Party Everywhere!

Having Halloween on a Sunday certainly stretched out the festivities and parties. We began the celebrations on Friday with Sarah's preschool class carnival. Sarah was a pretty princess and had a great time during her carnival
Ashlyn was the baby of many costumes this year. She began as our "Princess in training" with pink leggings, a pink shirt with jeweled crown and a tutu. But being a baby she had a blow out, go figure. So for Colton's school Fall Festival Ashlyn was a cute Halloween bundle. It was all about being warm and dry.
The next night we went to the karate Trunk or Treat. Of course our little Ninja was joined by many other Ninjas. Colton was in the finals for the best costume contest too. But the kids thought the best part of the night was the amount of candy they got. It was unbelievable!
Here are our two trick or treaters! Our Ninja always there to protect our little Princess!
We always have lots of Fun with our friends at Cutting Edge Martial Arts! We hope everyone had as much fun on Halloween as we did going to all our Parties!

Fall Fun at the Pumpkin Patch

Going to the Pumpkin Patch is an annual event the whole family enjoys! The end of the night is not the ideal time to get all the kids together for that precious ideal picture instead we have a truly candid shot.
She is growing up so fast but still remains too cut for words!
He is such a character! Thumbs - up expereince at the pumpkin patch.
High on top of a huge stack of monster tires there is sibling LOVE!
Sarah WON the race! She was so proud of herself and just laughing as Colton kept trying to keep up with her on the tricycles.
Colton was aiming to ring the bell on the huge pumpkin as he shot mini pumpkins out of the air pressured pumpkin shooters.
Sarah showed off her great sense of balance as she rode the pony. She is a natural!
Ashlyn was the happy spectator as her brother and sister were crazy kids at the pumpkin patch.
It was a great Monday night activity for our family with fall and halloween fun. We rode a train, shot pumpkins, petted animals, and the kids bounced and panned for Gold(we are in California after all). Jay and I had a great time watching the kids enjoy themselves so much!

Our Family is Back!

I have not been very good with updates since Ashlyn came along but I am going to really try to stay more recent, especially for our dear Nana and Granddaddy and Grandma and Grandpa. The kids are ready for church and they look so cute. I love coordinating the kids outfits on Sunday. Ashlyn is about 4mos. old in this picture.
Lately, Colton and Sarah love to be close with Jay and/or I when we are hanging out as a family.
Here is the most recent picture of Ashlyn, now just shy of 6mos. old. I took this picture this afternoon, she was so happy after she had a good nap in Jay's arms at Stake Conference.
It is the Oman girls! Colton was our photographer. He is still working on the art of taking a good picture. But he and Sarah love taking pictures non-the less.
Everyone say CHEESE!

Aren't they SO Cute!

Here are just a few recent pictures of the kids and baby Ashlyn. Ashlyn has grown so quickly! Sarah is sporting her adorable pettiskirt with Halloween spirit. She is our little Diva!
Colton is growing up so fast too. He is a big helper with Ashlyn, especially sice he has figured out that he is strong enough to hold her.
Ashlyn is all buddled on a rainy Saturday morning at the soccer fields!
Feet are surely her favorite toy.
Such a precious angel baby! She brings great joy to the house with her contagious giggles. Colton and Sarah both love taking turns to make her laugh. Laughter is so good for the Soul!
