Off to Utah!

We went to Utah the middle of June for the Annual Oman Reunion. The kids and I flew out early to spend some extra time with my brothers. This was Sarah's first flight in her very own seat! She is growing up faster than I ever imagined! She is our little princess!
We arrived on Monday and went swimming and relaxed with Morgan, Crystal and Brandon, Nicole. Then on Wednesday we got together with Jay's family and drove up to the Copper mines, just outside South Jordan. They are the only man-made creation that can be seen from outer-space. The site is unbelievable!! But so was the weather that day. We say rain, more rain, bigger rain and then hail. Everyone was soaked and not to mention cold.
Aren't we a cute family, I know I am biased but I am okay with that. This picture is inside the Visitor's Center Museum and we are standing next the the arial view of the mines.
Amazing what a bunch of HUGE trucks and explosives can create.
The tires alone on those trucks are far bigger than Jay!
But even with the weather it was a great experience and so fascinating to hear about and see. This mine creates enough copper to supply every house and car across the nation with all necessary wiring plus some silver and gold. WOW! it was a interesting day!

End to a GREAT Soccer Season

We had a Successful Season with the Golden Snakes. Everyone had a positive experience and enjoyed their soccer moments, games and practices. Colton's skills really improved and he made some good friends on the team. We look forward to see them in future seasons. Kids are ready for their special presentation from the coaches.
Colton with Coach Ted and Coach Hector, they both taught Colton so much!
These are well awarded young boys for a SUPER season! They worked hard and each grew as soccer players in their own way!
We are Champions!
Sarah and I had fun too. We all shared pizza and cups during the Soccer Party and the kids had a great time playing at the park. It was the end of a Memorable season!

Discovery Kingdom and Friends

What a FANTASTIC Day!! We were priviledged enough to join some of our preschool friends at Discovery Kingdom in Vallejo, CA. It was a such a fun-filled day! We all loaded in the SUV and away we went, boys in back and girls up front! And lots of FUN all around !
Ethan, Andrew and Colton on the Thomas train! They were tired but still all Smiles!
Colton is holding on up front in the Bertie Bus!
Sarah is ready to fly high on Harold the Helicopter!
It is a Colton sandwich but I think that it is Ethan who is truly getting squished.
Colton had a Blast spinning high in the Hot Air Balloons. That boy could spin all day!
Even Sarah had a great spin in the Hot Air Balloons, but not too much spinning because Mom was on board and I can't handle the spinning like Jay and the kids.
Hippity-Hop on the Froggies!
Sarah was front seat and in charge of our Froggie!
Even the snacks were fabulous with a little taste of Discovery Kingdom!!
We are so grateful for the invite from Andrew and his family to join them at Discovery Kingdom we had a priceless time and Colton can't wait to go back hopefully with Daddy next time.

Watch Out!!

You always have to be aware and on gaurd in our house because you never know what might be creeping about and ready to attack with the assistance of our little boy and his imagination. Jay is being attacked by the Bionicle army. Sarah thought this was an entertaining activity too.

SOCCER

We were part of the SYSA Spring soccer program and had lots of FUN! Colton played for the Red team U-6 which named themselves the Golden Snakes. The team was a mix of ages and abilities. Thanks to Colton's uncles his passion for soccer definitely showed on the field. And I am sure the fantastic red cleats helped with speed and abilities. Colton practiced hard during the week and during warm-ups.

Ready Let's PLAY!

Look at that throw-in! Sarah was always cheering on the sidelines or trying to take pictures too!

Colton was a STAR player to us!

Colton is a very active little boy and certainly has a blast playing sports so we look forward to our fall season of soccer with SYSA. We love soccer and I think we have converted Jay to loving soccer too. He is still learning all the rules but he is getting the hang of it. Let's play some soccer!

Micke Grove Zoo

The kids and I try never to miss out on time to play and enjoying friends. Here we met up with our Preschool friends at Micke Grove Zoo and then enjoyed one of the many playgrounds there at Micke Grove. Colton loves to be King of the Hill or Turtle in this case.
Sarah was not up for the photo-op and was pouting because she was stuck in the stroller.
There is a special exhibit at the zoo right now of Lorakeets. And for $1 you can feed them nectar out of a cup. For the most part they are beautiful and friendly birds. However from experience I can say that if they happen to get a hold of your finger it does not feel good.
We had lots of FUN and the kids could have fed the birds all afternoon. But we were off to play at the park and eat lunch which ended up being even more fun.

Weekend at Lake Tahoe

One of the wonderful things about California and Lake Tahoe is the fact that you can find beautiful beach and majestic mountains just 10minutes apart. Lake Tahoe was so much fun and needless to say gorgeous. The kids had so much fun getting dirty in the sand, Colton even convinced Jay to walk out into the freezing cold water with him. We also went on a hike and tracked into snow. We are indebted to our friends for including us on the trip to Lake Tahoe. We had such a fantastic time and are now sure fans of Lake Tahoe vacationing. We wish we had more pictures to share but our camera stopped working the first day there. Bummer!
